march 2012
Both of our basketball teams made it into the play offs. The girls lost the west region championship to the winners of the tournament. Our boys won the region but had no answer for the scoring of their opponent. They are second in the championship.
Soccer has started and will have their first match on the 27Th at Desert Heights.
We finished the third quarter in phys ed doing three phases of fitness tests.
At Liberty we did the shuttle run and sit ups. All grades K-8 went to Maryvale High on the 14Th to run on a "real" track. Grades K and 1 ran 400 meters, 1 third grade, i 6 grade and all 4,7,8 grades ran 800 meters. We had 2 fifth grade classes, 1 third grade, and i 6 grade run 1200 meters. Everyone seemed to do well and enjoyed the day off campus.
When classes resume we will start a track unit up to aims testing. Some of our students might want to compete in an upcoming track event sponsored by Champion School.
