PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Physical activity and the opportunity to benefit from a health-related fitness education program are important to the well-being of all people, regardless of their gender, ethnicity, physical competence, or having particular disabilities. The concept of inclusion provides students with positive relationships through their interactions and team building.
Regular moderate physical activity results in many health benefits for everyone. Persons that stay physically active decrease the risks of disease that cause morality and morbidity. Physical activity among adolescents is consistently related to higher levels of self-esteem and self-concept, and will lower levels of anxiety and stress.
Physical activity:
Makes the heart pump more strongly;
Help lower blood pressure and resting heart rate;
Reduce the risks of heart disease;
Strengthen bones and muscles;
Gives you more energy to do school work, daily chores, and play;
Help maintain a healthy body weight;
Reduce stress.
The goal of this physical education program is to help all students enjoy and learn about physical activities and how they relate to all of their academic subjects.
